Blyth Running Club are holding the ‘Spirit of the Staithes’ 10km run on Sunday, April 6.
The race will start at Blyth Quayside at 10am, with all finishers receiving a t-shirt.
Walkers and cyclists using the beach path should be aware that runners will be on the path from around 10.10am.
Entries have been limited to 600 and so far the club have received near 400 entries.

More than 35 runners from Blyth made the short journey to Kirkley Hall to run in the half marathon which is the second event in the club’s Grand Prix.
On an undulating course and in the extremely windy conditions, Brad Clough had an excellent run to be first back for Blyth in 12th position overall, the first Blyth Lady finisher was Heather Christopher who finished as 18th lady overall, while Cath Young was first in her age group.
