With the help of grants provided by Blyth Town Council, Blyth Ridley Tennis Club has organised tennis coaching this summer for children interested in developing or improving their skills.
Following the success of last year’s summer programme, the club has decided to extend the scheme this year by starting earlier in the season, so that participants will have longer to enjoy tennis in the better weather.
The coaching will be provided by a licensed coach and will be at the tennis courts in Ridley Park.
It will take place on early Monday evenings, over seven weeks, from June 1.
The club is catering for younger players with mini tennis for seven to ten-year-olds from 5.15pm to 6.15pm.
This will be followed by junior tennis, for 11 to 15-year-olds from 6.15pm to 7.15pm.
In order to make the course self-financing, so it can run in future years, there is a charge of £2 per session, or £10 for the full seven-week course.
Places can be booked by contacting Phil Barron on 07711 479026 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Anyone wishing to join Blyth Ridley Tennis Club, which is located in Bath Terrace, should contact the club chairman, Tom Burn, by email at email@example.com or simply call at the tennis club on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm.
