Cramlington Rockets launch recruitment drive for 2015

A recruitment drive has begun to get more people interested in giving rugby league a try.

Cramlington Rockets are looking to boost their numbers on and off the field in 2015 – the 15th anniversary since the club was founded.

As well as players aged eight to adult, the club is looking for volunteers, coaches, sponsors and community partners.

“As a club, we have a lot to offer anyone that wants to get involved,” said chairman Jeff Ball.

“On the playing front we have really high standards and are very player focused.

“We also do a lot for players and parents off the field, with paintballing, bowling, team building exercises and going for meals together all an essential part of what we do.

“On the coaching front, we have some of the best coaches in the area and strong links with Gateshead Thunder, the North East’s only professional rugby league team.”

Anyone interested in getting involved can contact the club via, social media,, or by telephoning 07809114905.
