Dozens set best times in latest winter run

Blyth Running Club held their fourth race in the Winter Series – a 2.5mile course around Riverside Trading Estate.

The second race in the series had been won by first time entrant Adam Swalwell, ahead of Brian Singleton and Robbie Barclay. Fastest runners on the night were Jon French and Leanne Herron.

Weather conditions were not ideal for the third race with Calum Storey taking the honours ahead of Sam Dodd and Paul Whalley. Jon French was again fastest on the night with Judith Nutt fastest lady.

The fourth race in the series was held in cool, calm conditions, conducive for good running as shown by the 27 season’s best times recorded.

A hard working Adam Robinson was first back, almost 30 seconds in front of second placed Sam Dodd with Rachelle Falloon in third a further seven seconds adrift.

Fastest finisher was Taylor Glover while Judith Nutt was again the fastest lady.
