The fifth and penultimate Start Fitness North Eastern Harrier League meeting was held at The Pastures, Alnwick, under the spectacular backdrop of Alnwick Castle.
Individually, the best result for Blyth Running Club was Erin Scott who finished third in the U17 girls race and took home a bronze medal, while Josh Fiddaman had the satisfaction of finishing second fastest u13 boy in his race.
The Senior men were out in force as they were bidding to win promotion to the Second Division, Joseph Woods was the first man back for Blyth with a top 20 position which sees him promoted to a faster pack. The men consolidated their position as second in the league.
In her first Harrier League, Rachelle Falloon was the first Blyth Lady back and can be pleased with her top 50 finish.
Each month Blyth award a trophy to their Junior Athlete Of The Month.
Erin Scott’s impressive run at Alnwick and a her commitment to training over the winter months saw her win the February award.
On Sunday, April 12, Blyth Running Club will be holding the ‘Spirit Of The Staithes’ 10km run, which this year is sponsored by Transped Logistics and Port of Blyth.
The race will start at Blyth Quayside at 10am. All finishers will receive a T-shirt.
