Fat Ox and Seahorse A start quick

THE inaugural round of matches in the North Tyneside Coastal Pool League have taken place.

Due to the demise of the West Allotment Social Club pool team, the Red Lion A were left kicking their heels as the rest of the teams started in earnest.

Any teams looking to enter the league in place of West Allotment should contact Grant Hennessey via Last Orders to do so.

In the games that were played, the Fat Ox and Seahorse A were quickest out of the blocks with huge 12-2 wins at Seahorse D and the Townhouse respectively, whilst there were 11-3 wins for Bertie’s Bar against Kittiwake B, Red Lion B at the Berkley and the Seahorse B against VI’s.

The Black Horse enjoyed a comprehensive 10-4 win at the Kittiwake A and the final Seahorse team, the C team, were also victors, 9-5 at the Hunting Lodge.

In the final game of the night, the Bedroom made the short journey to Last Orders and got off to a blistering start winning the first three frames.

They maintained a lead for most of the night however a strong tail from Last Orders ensured they were able to come from behind and record a hard fought 8-6 victory.
