GOLF clubs across the county have signed up to deliver free lessons.

Get into Golf sessions are being held at 12 clubs and are open to anyone looking to take up the sport or who is interested in returning to golf.

They are open to anyone aged 16 years or older and the only stipulation is that you are not a member of a golf club.

Lisa Ferrie, county development officer for the Northumberland County Golf Partnership, said: “This scheme means you can try it completely free; all equipment will be provided.

“It is a fantastic opportunity for people to try a new sport or get back into a sport they used to enjo.”

Anyone interested should call a venue and register. If the sessions are full, e-mail and you will be contacted when more become available.

Coaching sessions are also open to any groups or organisations in Northumberland who should contact to register their interest. Disability golf sessions are also available.
