BLYTH Running Club are hosting junior races on Saturday for children under the age of 15.
The races on July 7 will be held on Blyth beach, with the first event off at 10.15am.
The categories on the day are:
n under-6s, 200metres;
n under-9s, 400m;
n under-11s, 800m;
n under-13s, 1200m;
n under-15s; one mile.
There will be separate races for both boys and girls in each category, with trophies for the first placed runners in each race while all runners will receive a medal.
All ages will be as on the day of the races.
It is hoped that as many children as possible will take part and they just need to turn up at the beach car park to register and receive their numbers before the start of the race.
There will be a charge of £2 to enter.

Blyth Running Club are currently holding indoor mini athletic sessions for juniors every Wednesday at 5pm at Blyth Sports Centre.
The aim is to provide young children with a fun and active experience of being part of a sports club.
