Blyth Running Club recently held their annual handicap race.
The 6.5-mile run started and finished at the beach car park and saw nearly 40 entrants take part.
First two runners off were Louise Douglas and Ewa Johnson, with last runner Jake Jansen starting 20 minutes after them.
Douglas was never passed by anybody and won the race by a convincing margin. Newcomer Bradley Clough had a storming run to finish in second place and set the third fastest time of the day, while Angela Johnson finished in third place.
Fastest time on the day was recorded by Jansen, while Leanne Heron set the fastest time by a lady.
