A YOUNG squash player is continuing to get noticed on a national level after winning another trophy.
Lucy Beecroft, from Seaton Sluice, recently won the English Under 15 junior championships, which were held at Guildford in Surrey.
The pressure was on the 14-year-old as she had been seeded number one for the event.
But she beat third seed Georgina Kennedy 12-10, 11-9, and 11-7 in the final, taking just 25 minutes.
The Cramlington Learning Village pupil continues to get support from SportsAid who are a registered national charity which raises money to help talented athletes.
However, Lucy is now looking to take part in more European events but is finding the cost expensive.
Her parents are now hoping local businesses will come forward and sponsory Lucy to help take her talent further afield.
