Meadowdale Academy have won another Blyth and Bedlington School Sport Programme netball competitions.
It was the turn of the Year 5 squad to take the trophy after a successful afternoon of netball at Blyth Sport Centre.
The competition started with ten teams from across the partnership, who played in two leagues, followed by semi-finals and a final.
Meadowdale beat Horton Grange Primary in a tense final with the players from the other eight teams spectating.
Also watching were Nicole Dixon, Jamaican international and Team Northumbria player; Josie Pointon, Team Northumbria community sport services and Vicky Atkinson, Northumberland netball development officer.
The players were fortunate enough to be able to do a question and answer session with Dixon, who described to them what it is like to be a professional netball player who also represents their country.
She also met the umpires who had officiated at the competition, who were from Blyth Academy and Bedlington High School.
Other teams who took part were Malvins Close, Stead Lane, St Bedes, Newsham, Croftway, New Delaval, Morpeth Road and Station Primaries.
