Morpeth RFC U15s secure cup win over Novos

Morpeth RFC Under-15s took a huge step closer to county cup success after beating Novos 33-12 in a hard fought display at Sutherland Park in Benton.

Two well-taken tries for new-look No. 8 Josh White, who was in superb form, were the standouts in a fast-paced, mature and well-drilled Morpeth team, who delivered the performance of topsy-turvy season so far against a solid Novos side.

The scoreline flattered as Morpeth dominated the match from start to finish with further tries coming from flying second row Joe Turnbull, hooker and captain Michael Chattaway and versatile back Sean Matheson.

Sam Eyres added to the score with an impressive kicking display that bagged him two conversions. Generous referring also gave Morpeth two uncontested conversions.
