Two members of New Delaval and Newsham Bowling Club picked up the National U25 Pairs title at Skegness recently.
Aaron Robson and Liam Hann won the English Bowling Federation title at the National Championships.
The Blyth club pairing secured the title in a thrilling final against Greg Allam and Russell Robinson of Derbyshire.
Hann, 18, and Robson, 17, were in tremendous form throughout the tournament where they came up against the other county champions.
Some of the players involved are England internationals and trialists, which showed the standard of opposition the Blyth lads had to overcome.
The final was played in front of a big crowd, with Allam and Robinson taking an early advantage before Hann and Robson showed great battling qualities to fight back and collect a one and two on the last two ends to take the game to an extra end.
The tension was unbearable for the supporters as the Derbyshire pair won the toss and elected to bowl the jack, and as expected they took it to the minimum distance which they had been successful with previously.
But the Northumberland lads kept their heads and went on to win the end with the last bowl of the game to spark emotional scenes as the players celebrated with family and supporters.
The pair were presented with the John Wollard Trophy by the national president.
