Blyth’s Empire School of Boxing is holding a show at the town’s Newsham and New Delaval Workmen’s Club tomorrow night.
The evening’s boxing will start at about 8pm .
Tickets to see the show at the Winship Street venue cost £15. For details, call 01670 366523 or go to www.empire-boxing.com
Head coach Les Welsh said: “The boxers are chomping at the bit and are all looking forward to boxing on their home turf. Our boxers are a credit to us as a gym and themselves for the work they put in.
“All the local favourites will be on display, as well as new additions to the team.
“Lee Welsh and old boy Rob Varey are returning to Empire to pursue their careers.
“I can only hope that the show is like the last one held at the same venue.”
“It was a great show by the boxers, with strong, skilful performances.
“The crowd were amazing, and that is why we came back to our home-town.
“No one supports sport or, indeed, boxing like the people of Blyth. They are knowledgeable and very fair and well behaved.
“The show is heading for another sellout, but there will be a few tickets on the door on the night. Be there early to grab them to avoid disappointment.”
