Pupils get into swing of it with golf coaching

PROFESSIONAL golfers on the Europro tour took time out of preparing for the tour event at Longhirst Hall Golf Course to offer a coaching workshop.

Pupils from King Edward VI High School in Morpeth were given tips in partnership with Blyth Valley Arts and Leisure (BVAL) inclusion team and the golf course.

Children attending said that it was “great to get coaching from a professional sportsman” and “he gave me excellent advice on what I could do to improve”.

The workshop kick-starts a summer of golf coaching opportunities for kids with BVAL including a six-week course throughout the summer at Longhirst Hall Golf Club teaching all aspects of the game.
