Youngsters are being invited to try their hand at rugby league.
Cramlington Rockets are holding a free open day on Saturday, January 10, for six to ten-year-olds to try the sport and meet the coaches.
Cramlington Rockets Community Department has been working in the local schools, teaching kids how to play rugby league.
The taster session takes place at Cramlington Learning Village from 9am to 10.30am.
Hosting the session will be coaches Steven Beaty and Danny Gilroy, better known as Coach Bear. If any players wish to join the club’s U10s section full time, the coaches will be able to explain how to sign up.
Players should wear suitable clothing and footwear. There are changing facilities and a café in the Cramlington Sporting Club, for those parents wishing to escape the cold.
Gilroy said: “We have loved meeting so many brilliant kids in the schools.
“Their enthusiasm for rugby league is amazing so we are chuffed to give them a free session to see what Cramlington Rockets is about. Hopefully they all want to join us full time and become a part of the Rockets Family.”
To register your place, call Steven on 07984 630083, email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the club through Facebook or Twitter.
