THE latest round of Blyth Valley Pool Association, sponsored by Union Private Hire & Goschen St Garage, saw two suprise results.
The biggest upset saw the Seahorse take a sudden death play-off frame to win 7-6 against the Percy Arms.
The other shock result saw the Brockwell Seam beat the Sports Club B 7-5 to record their fourth win of the season.
With the Sports B dropping points, if the Seahorse can get a decent result against Bedlington Station in their re-arranged game, they will leapfrog them into the the top half.
Elsewhere, the Sports Club A increased their lead at the top to 23 points after a 9-3 victory over Newsham Side Club.
Bedlington Station beat the Annitsford Irish 8-4 which saw them take second place with a game in hand and a six point lead over the Percy Arms in third place.
The remaining games saw two Comrades Club against Cramlington Village matches with the Comrades coming out top in both.
The Comrades A beat the Village A 9-3, whilst the Comrades B beat the Village B 8-4 to maintain fourth ahead of their A team.
The BVPA takes a break from league action for the next three weeks with the three-a-side quater-finals being played this week, followed by the Knockout Cup fifth round robin games and the last 16 of the singles respectively.
