Station hold on to league lead

THE Blyth Valley Pool Association, sponsored by Union Private Hire and Goschen St Garage, saw Bedlington Station maintain top spot with a 9-3 victory over Seaton Terrace.

Annitsford Irish held onto second with a 9-3 victory over the Sun Inn A. while Sports Club A recorded a 10-2 victory at Newsham Side Club, which consigned their opponents to the foot of the table.

Percy Arms held their nerve for a 7-5 win over Comrades Club A. Sun Inn B found it tough in losing 12-0 against a much improved Brockwell Seam.

Sports Club B (soon to be the Joiners) beat Cramlington Village 8-4 while the Seahorse A bounced back from the sudden death play-off against their B team last week to record their first win with a 9-3 victory over another new team, the Dudley & District WMC.

Comrades B and Seahorse B was postponed.
