Stead Lane school earn place in netball finals

The Level 2 School Games netball competition for Year 6 took place at Blyth Sports Centre.

The tournament, organised by the Blyth and Bedlington School Sport Programme, is the qualifier for the Level 3 County School Games finals to be held in June.

Eight schools from the area participated in an exciting afternoon of netball which saw the top three teams finish with only three points difference

At the end of the afternoon, Horton Grange were third with Bede Academy runners up, and Stead Lane worthy winners after not losing a game throughout the competition.

It is the second time this season that Stead Lane have won a tournament. The other schools were Newsham, St Bedes, Cambois, Meadowdale and Malvins Close.
