Tight at the top

THE Blyth Valley Pool Association sponsored by Goschen Street Garage & Union Private Hire saw the top three teams taking wins to make it even tighter at the top.

Sports Club A came from 3-1 down to take the match 8-4 against Cramlington Village B.

Bedlington Station had a good 7-5 win against the Comrades A whilst the Percy closed up with an excellent 12-0 demolition of the Brockwell Seam.

Sports Club B won a tight game against the Seahorse 7-5.

Comrades B had a strong 9-3 win against Newsham Side Club and in the final match Annitsford Irish had a good 9-3 win against Cramlington Village A.

The singles and doubles competitions saw Ian Carr beating former Blyth champion Kev McGarry in the singles with Will Cowling and Andy Scott knocking out multiple champions Gary Wilson and Julian Slater in the doubles.
