Two horse race at top of table

THE Blyth Valley Pool Association, sponsored by Goschen Street Garage & Union Private Hire, looks like it is a two horse race for the title.

Blyth Sports A and Bedlington Station both recorded 10-2 wins against Annitsford Irish and Newsham Side Club respectively, whilst third place Percy lost 7-5 against Blyth Comrades B.

Blyth Sports Club B won 8-4 at home to Cramlington Village A whilst at Cramlington Village the Seahorse staged a fantastic comeback to win 7-5 after being 5-1 down.

In the final match of the night, Blyth Comrades A took an 8-4 win against the Brockwell Seam.

The results see Blyth Sports Club A retain a nine-point lead over Bedlington Station with the Percy now 15 points adrift.

Away from the league, a massive congratulations went to two of the league regulars, Paul Riley and Chris Gill.

The pair represented England in the European 8 ball team championships in Ireland. England B won the title with both lads contributing to the victory.
