Ashington concede half century of points

An early home try was answered by a penalty from Arkle to make it 7-3.

But Guisborough responded and ran in three first half tries, two of which were converted, plus a penalty, to lead 29-3 at the break.

Guisborough added a nother try at the start of the second half before Arkle went over for Ashington's only score, which he converted himself.

Guisborough saw up the half century with another two tries before the final whistle.

This week Ash play Morpeth 2nds in the County Cup on Friday night, Saturday being kept free for the World Cup Final.
