A NEW Aikido class is starting in Cramlington this weekend.
The club will be the third in the town, making Cramlington the most popular place in the north east to study Aikido.
All three clubs are part of the same organisation which also has sister clubs in Blyth, Morpeth and Whitley Bay.
The idea being that once any becomes a member they can train at all of the clubs for no extra fee.
Aikido is a traditional martial art, based on co-operation not competition, to develop fitness, awareness and confidence.
Suitable for men and women, the new class in Cramlington will start at 10:30am on Sunday in the scout hut at Ann Welfare.
