A former county and parish councillor has turned her hand to writing with the publication of a new book.
Anita Romer, of Seaton Sluice, has penned the paperback Life with Herbs.
Having been a herbal practitioner for the last 26 years, Anita has now produced the informative work about the benefits and uses of plants.
The work looks at the ‘lessons from the history of 50 healing plants’.
Anita has been a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists for almost three decades and practices out of her own home in Seaton Sluice.
She said: “Over the years I have become aware of the ignorance, and even the prejudice, surrounding herbal medicine.
“Having been a medical herbalist for more than a quarter of a century, I know how much it contributes to the health of my patients and immediate family.
“I have included several plants in the book not used today by medical herbalists but for which there is evidence of remarkable healing actions over the millenia.”
The book is published by Powdene Publicity Limited, ISBN: 978-0-9926969-3-1.
