THE first part of this year’s Wansbeck Music Festival will take place from Thursday, March 15, to Saturday, March 17.
All sessions will be held in St George’s URC Church in Morpeth.
This will be the 100th festival, as, although the centenary was celebrated in 2006, no festivals were held during the six years of the Second World War.
Morpeth Mayor Phil Taylor will open the festival at 9.15am on Thursday and this will be followed by recorder classes.
The afternoon session, at 1pm, will conclude with a recorder workshop.
Friday, at 9.30am and 6pm, and Saturday at 9.30am, will be woodwind classes.
The adjudicator will be Liz Childs GRSM, LRAM, who is a woodwind and recorder specialist.
Prices of admission are morning or afternoon £2 per session, combined morning and afternoon £3 and Friday evening £3.
All other classes will be held from Thursday, March 29, to Sunday, April 1.
