Dawes were worthy of a headline stage

NEWCASTLE may be a long way from Los Angeles, but top band Dawes were on fine form at the Metro Radio Arena last night.

Supporting Mumford and Sons, it should have come as no surprise that these were a fine support band, worthy of a headline stage if the audience reaction was anything to go by.

The band blitzed through a series of hits including the inimitable track Time Spent in Los Angeles, off their latest album Nothing is Wrong, and the incredible Most People.

Marcus Mumford joined the band on stage to sing When The Time Comes, before they moved onto slow number, Little Bit of Everything.

From the Window Seat and Peace in the Valley finished a fantastic if brief set.

Definitely worth a listen.
