First in series of concerts

The 2018 Seaton Delaval concert series, arranged by music fanatic Alan Coxon, will kick off with a Great Piano Show this Sunday.

The show will take the form of a concert of piano music performed by talented young pianists living and studying in the north east, led by the acclaimed David Murray.

The students are all at different stages in their musical journeys, but each is extremely talented and all are very accomplished pianists. The age range varies from just eight to early 20s.

Newcastle-born David Murray is one of the most well-known professional pianists in the north east and is in constant demand as a soloist, accompanist and chamber music partner. He has played all over the world with the Northern Sinfonia as orchestral pianist.

Tickets are £8 per person as Alan is so keen to showcase local musical talent and enthuse everyone else in lovely music, played by accomplished musicians.

The concert takes place at Elsdon Avenue Church, Seaton Delaval, Northumberland, at 3pm.
