A male voice choir has received a generous donation to replace its smart blue blazers.
The Ridley Family Charity has recognised the community involvement of Ashington and District Male Voice Choir (ADMVC) and has offered a generous grant to assist with the purchase of the new clothes.
It comes as the choir celebrates its 100th anniversary.
A spokesman for the group said: “The choir and its supporters are delighted with this offer and now look forward to having the new blazers in readiness for the busy autumn and Christmas programme.”
The choir has helped many voluntary and charitable organisations, and is always prepared to consider further requests from groups throughout the area.
