If you’re feeling nostalgic for the 1980s then the Phoenix Theatre has you covered.
The ultimate 80’s multi-tribute concert will be heading to the Blyth theatre at the end of the month.
The 80’s Mania show is the UK’s official 1980’s multi-tribute reunion concert.
Tribute acts in the line-up will mimic stars such as Kim Wilde, A-ha, Duran Duran, Wham, Cyndi Lauper, Culture Club, Madonna, Spandau Ballet, Madness, Erasure, The Human League, plus many more.
A massive line up of 25 artistes will be made-up in spectacular fashion to look and sound how the megastars did back in the decade that fashion forgot.
Over 35 non-stop hits, with more than 150 costumes, can be enjoyed in the fast-paced, high energy, feel-good show, together with the Mania Band and Dance Troupe, and a huge video screen projection, laser and lighting design.
New Romantics, leggings, leg-warmers, stilettos, shoulder pads, big hair, neon, deely boppers, it’s all there, both on and off the stage, so make sure you get dressed up for the event.
The audience is advised to arrive early as the party starts half an hour before curtain-up with an 80’s disco road show to get people in the mood.
With an ever growing cult following, and continued European success, 80’s Mania has been touring the UK for the past five years and is now endorsed by former Top of the Pops, Radio 1 and Saturday Superstore presenter Mike Read.
So, why not dig out your worst 80’s fashions, if you dare – men in make-up included – and travel back in time for a fun-filled 80’s night out?
Singing and clapping along is mandatory, and dancing around your handbag is a must.
The 80’s Mania show can be seen at the Phoenix Theatre, Blyth on Friday, July 31, at 8pm.
