Tale of stray dog Sharik adapted for the stage

An adaptation of a classic Russian novel by Mikhail Bulgakov that tells the story of a lone stray on the streets of Moscow is coming to the stage.

A Dog’s Heart visits Seaton Delaval on Friday, March 7, as part of a five venue tour across the north east.

The play tells the story of Professor Preobrazhensky, a world-famous cosmetic surgeon who makes his fortune rejuvenating Moscow’s aging elite.

When he meets Sharik, a starving stray dog, he finds the raw material he needs for his greatest experiment yet.

A Dog’s Heart will be at the Seaton Delaval Arts Centre on Friday, March 7, at 7.30pm.
