A man was airlifted to hospital after falling off his motorbike in Northumberland.

The 40-year-old was taken to the RVI in Newcastle with serious injuries after the incident near Corbridge yesterday afternoon.

The Great North Air Ambulance was called to help the North East Ambulance Service.

Its doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated the patient for multiple injuries and airlifted him to the RVI.
