Man charged with murder following police investigation into an attack in Northumberland
Wayne Davison, 37 of Seaton Delaval has been charged with murder following an incident at a property in Crofton Street in Blyth.
Police have identified the victim as 34-year-old Colin Rutherford, of Blyth.

Hide AdAt around 1.15pm on Wednesday, April 29, police received a report that a man had been assaulted.
Emergency services attended the scene and Mr Rutherford was taken to hospital where he sadly died on Thursday, April 30.
As well as being charged with murder, Davison has also been charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before North Tyneside Magistrates on Monday, May 4.

Hide AdDetective Chief Inspector Ed Small, the senior investigating officer on the case, said: “This is a tragic incident that has sadly resulted in Colin’s death.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this terrible time.
“An investigation was launched to determine the circumstances surrounding his death, and a team of experienced detectives will continue to carry out a range of enquiries throughout the weekend.”
Another three have been released with no further action.
