Rothbury café granted retrospective planning permission
and live on Freeview channel 276
The retrospective application for the Grade II listed property at 2 Bridge Street has been approved by Northumberland County Council.
Appliant Jackie Sewell was seeking permission for change of use from residential to mixed residential/cafe, and minor internal alterations to form a café.

Hide AdThe building was previously in use for four apartments. The proposals see the loss of one apartment to make way for the café on the ground floor.
Planning consent had previously been obtained in 2010 to convert a shop into the café with hostel accommodation above.
Tomlinson’s café and bunkhouse was operating until 2019 when planning and listed building consent was received to convert the building into four one and two bedroom apartments.
It was constructed as a school in 1841 but has been used for a variety of businesses over recent years.
